We Need Your Help

Dunbar Middle School is in need of books!!!

Our school Librarian recently performed a purge in our library. She removed tons of outdated books from our shelves. Many of the books are old, damaged and no longer interest the children that attends the middle school and required replacements. Now the library shelves are bare.

So what does this mean?

Dunbar Middle School is in need of books. With a limited budget, the school can't afford to purchase all of the books needed to fill our shelves before the beginning of the school year. Majority of our students are reading below grade level so it is important to have a great selection of books that will encourage our students to take an interest in reading.

How can you help?

Donate Books.

The school is accepting donation of books to stock the library shelves. They ask for new, unused or books in excellent condition for Grades 5 and higher. They are asking especially for fiction books

You can check here for specific titles to start with from the "Texas Lone Star Reading" master list

Donate Money.

You can make a monetary donation to help the school as well. The money will be used to help purchase new books for the library.

All monies must be mailed to the school. You can mail and make checks payable to:

Dunbar Middle School
Attn: Financial Secretary
2501 Stalcup Road
Fort Worth, TX 76119

Donors making monetary donations will receive an official receipt from the Finance Secretary and all donors will receive a Donation Acknowledgement for tax purposes.

I encourage all of you to look into your heart and help by donating or by contacting us for ways where we can get good quality books for our children. We want to encourage them to read more and we need the books to make that happen.

Thank you
