Praying for Charleston, SC

At this moment I am praying for Charleston, South Carolina for the Emanuel AME Church members and the family and friends of the victims that were killed in the church shooting. I am deeply sadden about this situation and our hearts are heavy with the member of that community. There are not enough words to express my feelings right now.

We know that hate has driven this young man to do what was done but we are hopeful that through prayer, action and support for the community that justice will be served and that we are able to continue to show that black lives are important and they matter. We must all take part in this moment as well as many other moments in this country to remind that we are of value and we must be treated and served equally to start a long healing process that racism has caused. We have the right to be here and we have a right as citizens of this country to feel safe in our homes, streets, communities and churches. Innocent lives should not have to be slain for reason that is not in our control and lives should not be taken because they are different.

I pray for strength, unity, love and love and lots of love for the community and for everyone that was affected by this shooting. I am here for you Charleston.
