Rest Kenneth
It is with great sadness to discover my friend Kenneth has passed. I am not processing this very well. I only known him for about 2-3 years but he has touched my life tremendously. He was a great creative and spirit. He was incredibly hard working. From creating beautiful websites to creating Blackstock, a stock photography site which brightens and provides a quality supply of photographs which highlights black people and culture. I never seen a person with so much drive and ambition. He has motivated so many people and and has encouraged many young creatives to pursuit entrepreneurship and to push our limits.
He was in my creative tribe, my family. We would have discussions on design and hardships and just talk about our blocks and goals in life. Kenneth was extremely knowledgeable and was eager to help anyone who needed the help and resources. Kenneth had such a vision that many of us had and he made it his duty to be sure that we all got closer to seeing that vision come to reality. He had his down moments and his fears but he was resilient, purposeful and highly driven. I never understood how he would go so long with out sleep and was fueled of coffee to keep him going on finishing his projects and aiming for goals.
Outside of work he is truly a remarkable man. He is funny, caring and had an amazing smile and energy. In many way he glows. I can even say that he is powerful. He loved what he did and he was doing great things. He has such a way of looking at things in his work and his community in Washington DC. Such wit and intelligence and a great sense of humor. Kenneth was loving, lovable, and highly supportive to his friends. He was a great person to be around whether on social media, and from my observations, his interactions with his very close friends.
I am really going to miss Kenneth. He was a driving force and an example to many on how your potential can take you places if you work hard and make sacrifices. He is truly a trailblazer and a phenomenal pathfinder. He has done thing I wish that I can do and one day hope to obtain. I along with many others cannot express how amazing this guy is. I am so proud of him and I am terribly sad that he is gone.
Rest in Peace Kenneth. I am very fortunate to have had you in my life in a very special way.
