Teacoa Needs Your Help!
Recently, I have decided to have the ambition to go further in my studies and dive into creating large framed beaded portraits and tapestry portraits, using material such as thread, silk, yarn, wire and beads. I have also planned to design a few furniture pieces that will highlight the tapestry work.
For me, that means that I need a loom. A much LARGER loom.
All of my jewelry is done on a Beadzu 10" beaded loom. It is perfect for making bracelets but is not recommended for larger works.
After doing my research, the best loom of a large scale to my needs is the Mirrix 38" Zeus Loom.
The Mirrix 38" Zeus loom is a wonderful loom of choice. It is mobile so I can loom on the go. and it is versatile for beaded tapestry and traditional tapestry using threads and silks. It is largely engineered to make pieces of 35″ x 61″. Think of a large Navajo rug or a pretty large coffee table.
With such a large loom to hold many beads I would like to purchase a loom and a stand which will cost me about $1500 dollars. The stand will turn the Zeus loom into a floor loom.
If I reach my goal I will be working on a project which involves turning two large custom frames into a coffee tables. The frame will be filled with a mixture of beaded and threaded tapestry.
The Frames were donate to me by Ken’s Framing, located in Fort Worth, Texas.
1 of 2 Custom frames, donated by Ken's Framing in Fort Worth.
Dimensions are 22.5" X 52.5" X 3"
I am asking for donation or for people to purchase jewelry from my shop. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Anyone that donates will receive a thank you card from me and a honorable mention on my blog. If you donate 50 dollars or more, you will receive a special gift from me.
